Shyam Shukla is dedicated to serving his community. He's in it to make life easier and more affordable for people—because he's lived that same struggle.

Currently an IT professional for the Canadian Coast Guard, Shyam has a lifelong commitment to the public service. He's also a small business owner and a gig worker.

Since 2019, Shyam has been a public servant in Information Technology, working in multiple federal departments and agencies. Currently, he is a Team Leader with the Canadian Coast Guard where he lends his expertise to critical national operations. Before starting his current career, Shyam spent 10 years in the retail sector.

Raised in three countries – India, the United States, and Canada – and fluent in five languages – English, French, Gujarati, Hindi, and Japanese – Shyam has a global perspective, embodies the multicultural fabric of Canada, and excels at building bridges within the community.

Active in the community, Shyam volunteers his time for the Community Volunteer Income Tax Program where he volunteers his time to help local residents file their income taxes. He has also been a proud member of TuesdayClub613 and Ottawa Board Games Discord.

Shyam has lived many lives—as a retail worker, a small business owner, and now, serving as an IT professional for the National Coast Guard. His experiences have prepared him to tackle the issues that matter most to the people of Nepean, of all Canadians. He is committed to being your voice in Parliament and fighting for a brighter future where no one is left behind.
