People don't know how they are going to survive inflation and the uncertainty of the future. They're concerned with finding affordable housing. They're concerned about the bush and landmarks being pushed, forests logged, and lakes contaminated with invasive species. One wise woman I met observed that Riding Mountain looks like it has mange. I propose tax cuts for farmers who keep the bush. And as people struggle to find affordable housing, I argue that we should have adaptable codes that allow people to decide what they want to live in, and rezone marginal lands to allow homesteading, and grow our struggling rural communities.
