Alex Gagne is your NDP candidate for Beauséjour.

For over a decade, Alex has been a champion of workers’ rights in New Brunswick.

Alex was raised in Lakeville and got his start in local politics at the age of 14, canvassing for local politicians, participating in anti-poverty organizations, and advocating for local progressive politics. If you lived in the area during that time, it’s likely he knocked on your door to chat about your concerns in the community.

As a proud socialist, Alex believes in centring universal policies that support all Canadians regardless of background. A former tenant union organizer, he is particularly focused on solving the housing crisis by using federal land to build rent-controlled housing in order to provide more affordable homes.

Alex believes in creating a Canada where workers are treated with respect and the most vulnerable people are protected. He also believes in the necessity in enacting a just transition to a green economy, so that no Canadian is left behind.

Alex is here to represent Beauséjour in Ottawa and fight for a future where all Canadians regardless of class, language, ethnicity, or employment status can live with dignity and respect.
