My policies are driven by one clear priority: putting Canadians first. For too long, we have seen governments focus on serving party agendas, global interests, and bureaucratic expansion while everyday Canadians feel ignored, overburdened, and left behind. I believe that the role of government should be to serve its people with transparency, accountability, and a commitment to individual freedom, economic opportunity, and national unity.

As a father of two young boys, my motivation is deeply personal. I want to ensure that the Canada they grow up in is one where freedom of speech, financial security, and access to healthcare are not privileges but guarantees. I want a future where the government respects the hard work of Canadians, supports small businesses, and defends the values that once made this country admired around the world. These priorities guide every policy I support, from tax reform and healthcare innovation to responsible immigration and democratic reform.

If elected as Member of Parliament for Acadie-Annapolis, my goal is to be a true voice for the people. I will advocate for a mixed member voting system that strengthens representation and ensures every vote matters. I will work to reduce government overreach, protect personal liberties, and push for policies that build local prosperity rather than stifle it. I believe in common sense solutions rooted in respect for Canadian citizens, and I am committed to building a country that puts its people first again.

People’s Party of Canada

I am honoured to be running as the People’s Party of Canada candidate for Acadie-Annapolis. I am not a politician. I am a father, a worker, and a citizen who understands the everyday challenges Canadians face. Like so many in our region, I have watched government decisions being made far from our communities by people who seem increasingly disconnected from the values and priorities of everyday Canadians.

My journey has given me this perspective. I was born in Cape Breton and spent my formative years in Ontario after my family moved away. Yet, every summer I returned to Nova Scotia, and it always felt like home. When the chance came to move back through a work transfer, I did not hesitate. For the past 13 years, I have lived in communities across the Acadie-Annapolis riding, and through that experience, I have come to deeply understand and appreciate the people, the culture, and the unique challenges of this region.

I believe there are practical and common-sense solutions to the problems we face, especially in healthcare and the economy. However, before those issues can be properly addressed, we must first fix a broken political system. In the 2021 federal election, only 62 percent of eligible Canadians voted. Of the 27 million eligible voters, only 5.6 million chose the current Liberal government. That represents just 21 percent of voters and does not reflect a clear mandate from the majority.

Imagine a system where every vote truly counted. Not only would it help elect a representative in your riding, it would also strengthen your chosen party based on the overall share of the popular vote. A mixed electoral system, combining the strengths of our current model with proportional representation, would better reflect the will of Canadians and help restore trust in our democracy.

Je suis honoré de me présenter comme candidat du Parti populaire du Canada dans la circonscription d’Acadie-Annapolis. Je ne suis pas un politicien. Je suis un père, un travailleur et un citoyen qui comprend les défis quotidiens auxquels les Canadiens sont confrontés. Comme beaucoup dans notre région, j’ai vu des décisions gouvernementales être prises loin de nos communautés, par des gens qui semblent de plus en plus déconnectés des valeurs et des priorités des Canadiens ordinaires.

Mon parcours m’a permis d’acquérir cette perspective. Je suis né au Cap-Breton et j’ai passé mes années de formation en Ontario après que ma famille ait déménagé. Pourtant, chaque été, je revenais en Nouvelle-Écosse, et j’y ai toujours ressenti un sentiment de chez-soi. Lorsque l’occasion s’est présentée de revenir grâce à un transfert professionnel, je n’ai pas hésité. Depuis 13 ans, je vis dans différentes communautés de la circonscription d’Acadie-Annapolis, et cette expérience m’a permis de mieux comprendre et apprécier les gens, la culture et les défis uniques de notre région.

Je crois qu’il existe des solutions pratiques et de bon sens aux problèmes que nous rencontrons, notamment dans les domaines de la santé et de l’économie. Cependant, avant de pouvoir régler ces enjeux, nous devons d’abord corriger un système politique défaillant. Lors des élections fédérales de 2021, seulement 62 % des Canadiens admissibles ont voté. Sur 27 millions d’électeurs inscrits, seulement 5,6 millions ont choisi le gouvernement libéral actuel. Cela représente à peine 21 % des électeurs, ce qui ne constitue pas un mandat clair de la majorité.

Imaginez un système où chaque vote compterait réellement. Non seulement cela permettrait d’élire un représentant dans votre circonscription, mais cela renforcerait aussi le parti de votre choix selon sa part du vote populaire. Un système électoral mixte, combinant les forces de notre modèle actuel avec la représentation proportionnelle, refléterait mieux la volonté des Canadiens et contribuerait à rétablir la confiance dans notre démocratie.

I am running because our political system no longer represents Canadians as a whole. As a father of two young boys, I want them to grow up in a Canada that is respected, free, and led by a government that serves its people, not the other way around.

The reason I am running is simple. It has become clear to me that our political system is no longer working for us. It no longer reflects or represents Canadians as a whole, but instead serves narrow interests and partisan agendas. As a father of two young boys, aged six and four, I feel a deep responsibility to help shape the Canada they will grow up in. I want that Canada to be one that is once again globally respected, principled, and free. I want a future where government serves the people, not the other way around. My goal is to restore a system that works in the best interests of all Canadians, not just the well-connected few.
