Born and raised in Winnipeg to first-generation immigrants and business owners, Rahul grew up surrounded by Winnipeg’s diverse community. Through both his community involvement and his family business, he developed a strong commitment to the people of Winnipeg Centre.

With a focus on Indigenous reconciliation, Rahul began his public service journey interning under Senator Murray Sinclair. This passion for policy and social impact drove him not only to pursue a Master's in Political Management, but additionally serve as a caseworker at a constituency office. Working closely with constituents to navigate government service and advocate on their behalf, Rahul would go on to serve as the Regional Advisor to the Minister of Transport, the Honourable Pablo Rodriguez and the Honourable Anita Anand.

Reason for running

submitted by the candidate or their team
"I am here asking to be your voice in Ottawa because we find ourselves in a pivotal time, where we have two options: Strength or Weakness."

"I am here because I want to see the small and medium businesses in downtown and the Exchange flourish, I am here because we need to address the housing shortage as an act of reconciliation to our Indigenous relatives, I am here because because we need to tackle the rootcauses of crime to stop it, I am here because families and community members have right to free and universal acess to dental and pharmacare. Most importantly, I am here because I want to keep Canada strong by challenging President Trump’s unjustified tariffs!

And there is only one way to do that: by electing a strong voice to sit around the government table. For far too long, our community has not had a voice in government that ensures our community's concerns are heard. Which is why, by giving me the honour to represent you, as a Liberal MP, I will stand up for local issues and be your voice in government."
