John is an astute problem solver and has extensive experience in leadership and community engagement. He tots a master’s degree in Public Policy and Global Affair from UBC, a Bachelor’s in chemical engineering, and a combined 20 years experience in supply chain management and commercial banking. He has established a track record of delivering win-win solutions for stakeholders in social, political and business circles across three continents.

An avid believer in democratic governance, John is very passionate about government transparency and effective representation. A passion that he displayed while serving as the president of the Graduate Student Society at UBC Vancouver. He lead a culture of cohesion in the council, laid the foundation for a long-sought Graduate Life Center, delivered a bespoke logo for the society and balanced a deficit budget all in one term.

He has lived and worked at the UBC point grey campus with his wife and three young children since arriving Canada.
